Overview
In this senior role, you steer commercial evaluation and development for wind, solar, and battery projects across Europe, starting with the UK and Ireland. You lead acquisitions, sell-downs, partnerships and strategic transactions from initial assessment to execution. You build and validate financial models and present clear investment recommendations to decision-makers. You shape commercial strategies and routes to market, strengthening partnerships with investors and advisers. This is a high-impact role shaping Europe-wide renewable investments within a collaborative, international team.

Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial evaluation and development of wind, solar and battery projects and portfolios
- Lead or support acquisitions, sell-downs, partnerships and other strategic transactions from assessment to execution
- Build, review and quality-assure financial models, valuations and investment cases; translate analysis into recommendations
- Develop commercial strategies and secure routes to market (e.g., auctions, corporate PPAs, other offtake structures)
- Structure, negotiate and manage joint ventures and strategic partnerships
- Strengthen Statkraft’s commercial proposition to partners and investors
- Build and maintain relationships with financial investors, industry partners and advisers
Key requirements
- A relevant university degree and substantial experience in investment, M&A, strategy, project finance or a comparable commercial role
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project economics, valuation and key value drivers for wind, solar and battery storage investments
- Proven experience leading complex projects and transactions with multiple stakeholders
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills with ability to identify risks and present insights clearly
- Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills, collaborative and pragmatic working style
- Experience with PPAs, routes to market, joint ventures or financial investors is an advantage
- High integrity, sound judgement and ability to manage several priorities in a fast-paced international environment
- Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in another major European language is an advantage
