M&A Underwriter

Overview

As an M&A Underwriter you will own the underwriting process for warranty and indemnity risk on UK and international deals. You will structure and price coverage, working closely with brokers, legal counsel and other market participants to support complex transactions. This role offers exposure to a broad array of deal types, sectors and jurisdictions, with meaningful scope to build international relationships. You will join a globally scaled insurer focused on high-value, cross-border M&A risk, enabling you to shape outcomes across geographies and markets.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite warranty and indemnity risk across UK and international M&A deals
• Manage the full underwriting process from risk assessment to policy issuance
• Structure and price cover in collaboration with brokers and legal teams
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, lawyers and market participants to drive deal flow
• Grow cross-border origination and contribute to an international book of business

Key requirements

• Broking or underwriting experience in W&I, or a strong corporate M&A lawyer with transactional experience
• Solid grounding in due diligence and deal documentation
• Ability to operate across multiple jurisdictions and languages; French or Italian language capability preferred
