Engineer (Environmental)

Overview

In this role you work within a team of environmental test specialists to deliver robust environmental testing services for diverse industries. You will execute tests to defined standards, record results, and support the interpretation of data for reports, contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes. You engage with customers to define test plans, relay results, and help refine methods. This position offers hands-on testing experience with impact on safety, quality, and compliance, within a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out environmental tests (temperature, humidity, pressure, IP) per standards and plans
• Interact with customers during attended testing
• Record results in electronic logbooks and generate test reports per quality procedures
• Liaise with customers on test specifications and result interpretation
• Coordinate with the test manager to meet timelines and accuracy
• Assist in developing and refining test plans with customers
• Help develop test methods and relevant departmental documentation
• Collaborate on continuous improvement to enhance testing efficiency and procedures

Key requirements

• Experience in a laboratory environment
• Knowledge of test laboratory quality and operating procedures
• Technical qualification in a STEM subject area

• Motivated and enthusiastic, willing to learn
• Good numerical, logical, organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Operation of environmental test equipment
• Experience delivering climatic environmental testing
• Data handling and reporting
