Overview

In this role you will provide strategic legal guidance for TikTok’s search and user growth products, working with senior counsel and cross-functional teams to assess risk and enable product innovation. You will conduct global legal research, oversee product launches across jurisdictions, and help stress-test feedback from subject matter experts. The position offers exposure to fast-paced, cutting-edge product issues and the opportunity to shape regulations and compliance for a global platform. You will collaborate closely with business, engineering, compliance, security, and policy teams to protect and enable TikTok’s product vision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead legal review of new products and features for TikTok’s search and user growth teams
  • Perform legal research and coordinate product matters on a global scale based on risk assessment
  • Advise product teams on strategic matters and support development of launch plans across jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with subject matter expert counsels to consolidate and stress-test legal feedback
  • Manage internal communication, projects, and training across regional legal and product teams
  • Monitor regulatory trends on online platforms, privacy, data protection, and related areas to identify risk areas

Key requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with legal qualifications in the UK and/or Europe
  • Experience advising on product launches across multiple markets
  • Strong drafting, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience analyzing products for regulatory compliance
  • Detail-oriented with cross-country coordination experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive work ethic
