You lead a six-month transformation programme for a high-profile UK charity, turning ambitious plans into measurable delivery. You work with senior leaders to establish governance and clear progress, risks, and outcomes. The role combines rigorous programme management with a meaningful social purpose in a collaborative, values-led environment. You drive focus, pace, and practical improvements across service, operations, and financial performance, delivering a sustainable handover.

Responsibilities

  • Assess current transformation portfolio, delivery capability, and performance
  • Translate objectives into a prioritised six-month plan with milestones and accountabilities
  • Set up governance, reporting cycles, escalation routes and change controls
  • Create and maintain an integrated programme plan, roadmap, RAID log, and dependency map
  • Clarify roles across senior leaders, teams and enabling functions
  • Define KPIs and dashboards for service, operational, financial, and delivery performance
  • Produce clear, decision-focused reporting for executive and governance meetings
  • Identify risks and obstacles and propose practical interventions
  • Facilitate reviews, planning sessions and senior stakeholder workshops
  • Coordinate interdependent workstreams while preserving ownership with internal leaders
  • Use data and insight to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support initiatives around data foundations, BI, technology, AI, systems and operating-model development
  • Strengthen internal programme management capability through coaching and templates
  • Build alignments while challenging weak ownership
  • Develop handover and sustainability plan for post-assignment impact
