Project Controls Specialists (all levels) – Performance & Reporting

Overview

In this role you will support the PMO Midlands Controls community, delivering tailored performance reporting, analytics and project controls to major programmes. You will work with cross-functional delivery teams to establish robust baselines, data flows and governance, enabling informed decision making. The role offers exposure to diverse sectors and opportunities to grow into leadership through mentoring and regional collaboration. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and best practice in project performance management.

Responsibilities

• Tailor reporting processes to client needs and align with best practice
• Deliver performance and reporting management plans for projects
• Promote benefits of Performance Reporting & Analytics within project teams
• Implement, administer and maintain reporting systems and procedures
• Establish a robust Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) with change control support
• Roll out reporting calendars to ensure timely performance data
• Define data flows for information management systems and support digital teams
• Lead development, analysis and maintenance of corporate datasets
• Provide guidance on data quality to various providers
• Lead material preparation for governance across projects and programmes
• Identify performance recovery recommendations for stakeholders
• Support teams to develop KPIs and a performance measures dictionary
• Develop project performance reports and dashboards with actionable insights
• Prepare materials for client governance forums and reviews
• Contribute to national/regional performance & reporting communities
• Train and coach clients and junior team members on processes and practices

Key requirements

• Experience in a project or programme environment
• Understanding of interactions between Project Controls elements (Scheduling, Cost, Change) and Reporting
• Track record in identifying reporting/data requirements and documenting them
• Awareness of Project Controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys) is desirable
• Experience using data analysis tools (Power BI)
