In this Senior Programme Manager role, you will lead and deliver major capital programmes across construction sectors, ensuring strategy translates into measurable outcomes. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams, establish governance and controls, and manage risks to support client objectives. You act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, driving delivery excellence and ensuring alignment with wider business goals. Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of small to medium transformation/real estate programmes and influence large programmes to realise measurable benefits
  • Establish and embed governance and control frameworks for programme rigor and compliance
  • Engage stakeholders and communicate clearly through governance forums and compelling presentations
  • Oversee financial processes to monitor and report on programme budgets and financial performance
  • Identify and manage programme risks and health & safety considerations
  • Provide operational leadership for programme logs, data quality, governance, and secretariat duties
  • Foster a high‑performing, collaborative team culture and support internal and client growth

Key requirements

  • Proven programme management experience with demonstrated client outcomes
  • Knowledge of MSP and PMI frameworks and disciplined governance practices
  • Construction delivery background with progression into programme delivery
  • Understanding of construction delivery models, procurement routes and contracts (NEC, JCT)
  • Experience with project controls (scheduling, cost, risk management) at project and programme level
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for client engagement and decision making
  • Stakeholder engagement with third parties and customers
  • Awareness of health and safety requirements (CDM, Building Safety Act) and regulatory compliance
  • Commitment to high‑performance teams and talent development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and programme management tools, with an openness to digital tools and AI
