Overview

You will support debt and equity capital market activities by advising deal teams on approval requirements and coordinating committee processes. In this role you ensure smooth operations for Capital or Commitments committees, and facilitate risk bookings and regulatory-driven process changes. You will deputize for senior underwriting leadership, present transactions, and mentor junior teammates while collaborating across risk, finance and engineering teams. This position offers exposure to financing documentation and a fast-paced, high-energy environment with opportunities to shape approvals and control processes. You help build robust, compliant workflows that underpin financing decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Advise deal teams on approval requirements for transaction types
  • Schedule and minute committee meetings (Capital/Commitments) and track follow-ups
  • Initiate risk bookings post-signing with Controllers, Middle Office and Divisional Risk
  • Deputize for Chief Underwriting Officers including presenting transactions and closing follow-ups
  • Support regulatory-driven changes to approval processes and committee memoranda templates with Engineering, Credit Risk and GBM Private Leadership
  • Coordinate responses to internal/external audits and regulatory examinations
  • Act as team lead by mentoring and training junior team members

Key requirements

  • At least 4-5 years of related experience
  • Interest in debt and equity capital markets
  • Accurate, detail-oriented with sound judgment and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Motivated to develop credit and equity analysis skills and financing documentation understanding
