Overview

In this role you will support the delivery of the Havant Thicket Reservoir project by coordinating two pipeline contracts and their mechanical/electrical interfaces within the wider water network. You will work closely with the Pipeline Project Manager in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to monitor progress, manage actions, and ensure contractual and regulatory compliance. The position offers decisive involvement in a nationally significant environmental project and hands-on problem solving. You will engage with stakeholders, help shape planning and development, and contribute to project performance and outcomes.

  • salary 49-61k
  • 38 hour week
  • 4 days on site (flexible)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor NEC contract management portal (CEMAR) and provide weekly status updates to the Project Manager
  • Coordinate with the technical adviser to ensure client feedback is delivered on time to meet contractual requirements
  • Produce meeting minutes, maintain action trackers, and track outstanding actions
  • Chair regular technical meetings with the Contractor for the pipeline contracts
  • Support the Project Manager to fulfil NEC contract duties
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate project objectives and support planning/development
  • Manage ad hoc projects from concept to completion
  • Ensure works proceed in line with planning permissions, licences and regulations with advisers
  • Scrutinise contractor information, including early warning notices and compensation events

Key requirements

  • Experience of major infrastructure projects, including MEC, instrumentation, control and automation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Clear, systematic approach to solving complex issues and effective communication of solutions
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a focus on results and quality
  • Excellent analytical skills for progress reports and decision papers
  • Enthusiastic and able to inspire others
  • Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Teams proficiency
  • Proven project management capability
  • 4+ years of experience in major infrastructure projects involving mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation
