As a Laboratory Scientist in Labcorp’s Environmental Sciences team, you will apply analytical techniques to support biodegradation, animal metabolism and dermal penetration studies, among others. You will work within a regulated environment to ensure accurate, timely results that meet client and regulatory expectations. The role involves contributing to method development and study validations, and maintaining rigorous documentation and safety standards. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive high‑quality outcomes that support environmental fate research. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of laboratory assays following standard procedures and study protocols
- Critically review processes and study plans, suggesting changes where appropriate
- Review own work for accuracy, timeliness, completeness and soundness of technical judgment
- Maintain study documentation in line with client and regulatory expectations
- Use LIMS software to manage data and workflow
- Contribute to method development and validation projects
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment at all times
- Support a range of other study types in Environmental fate and plant metabolism
Key requirements
- Degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Environmental Sciences
- Experience in fast-paced regulated laboratory setting and understanding of SOPs and study protocols
- Experience with GLP regulatory standards
- Ability to motivate and influence others and train junior team members
- Experience in troubleshooting problems and escalating issues appropriately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team and to communicate across the study lifecycle
- High motivation to deliver high-quality work in line with regulatory expectations
