Overview
As Global Director of Commercial & Prestige Capabilities, you architect the people capability strategy for the global commercial and prestige teams. You design, govern, and deploy academy programs to close critical skill gaps and enable a world-class commercial organization. You lead governance, curricula, and change initiatives while partnering with external capability providers and Commercial IT. Your work shapes learning at scale, driving a culture of continuous development and impact across regions.

Responsibilities
- Lead development of the People Capability Strategic Plan and implement the Commercial Excellence Academy and Founder’s Prestige Academy
- Design governance frameworks, competency models, and training curricula for sales, MDC, and commercial excellence across regions
- Drive change management to ensure adoption of new tools, processes, and methodologies
- Partner with external capability providers to develop global programs and with Commercial IT to enable digital tools
- Support facilitation of the Founder’s Prestige and Commercial Excellence Academy as needed
- Own regional adoption of global capability plan and programs
- Identify critical skill gaps and guide capability roadmap with regions and markets
- Conduct competency assessments to inform the Global Learning & Development agenda and prioritize training investment
- Collaborate with HR/L&D on capability agenda, change management, and talent pathways
- Leverage industry learnings from luxury and FMCG beer to inspire teams
- Manage Global Commercial Capabilities Community and build a repository of best practices
- Contribute to ComEx Summit content and capability-building agenda
- Champion the Yatte Minahare spirit in capabilities
- Track KPIs including program completion, satisfaction, competency coverage, and engagement
Key requirements
- 10+ years in Commercial Excellence, Capability Development, or L&D in FMCG or Spirits, including prestige brands
- Proven track record designing and implementing large-scale commercial capability frameworks and training programs
- Deep expertise in competency modelling, curriculum design, and commercial training delivery
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and tools (Power BI, NorthStar)
- Strong ability to influence and align HR, regional ComEx, and business leadership
- Experience managing communities of practice in global, matrixed organizations
- Business-fluent English; additional languages advantageous
