Overview
As a Senior Risk Consultant, you will lead risk management for major infrastructure programmes, guiding governance and decision-making with senior stakeholders. You’ll work within the Integrated Programme Controls team to assess risk exposure across disciplines and support bids, project delivery, and change control. You’ll develop risk management frameworks, reports, and registers to drive informed choices and project success. Responsibilities
- Engage project teams to implement risk management effectively
- Provide input to bids and proposals to win new business
- Perform risk assurance checks for project/programme risk management quality
- Communicate risk data to senior leaders and produce comprehensive risk reports
- Coach and mentor staff in risk management best practice
- Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of risks
- Develop robust Risk Registers, Risk Management Plans, and Risk Mitigation Plans
- Conduct Quantitative Risk Analysis using techniques such as Monte-Carlo to set contingency levels
- Design and implement risk management frameworks for projects and programmes
- Support cost, scheduling, project controls and change management teams as needed
Key requirements
- 3+ years experience in risk management
- at least 2 years risk management on high value projects
- Bachelor’s Degree or risk management qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM)
- experience in multi-discipline project environments
- proficiency with Industry Risk Management tools (ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict)
- experience in QCRA & QSRA using Safran, Primavera Risk Analyser, @risk
- compliance with ISO31000 or related methodologies
- flexibility to travel and work across sectors
