Senior Manager of Data – Finance

Overview

In this role you will own and scale Mews’ finance and regulatory data ecosystem, turning complex financial data into trusted, auditable insights. You lead a Europe‑based analytics/data engineering team to shape data platforms that support Corporate Finance, FP&A, Financial Systems, FinTech and RevOps. You partner with finance and business leaders to translate needs into data solutions, while driving governance, automation and ML‑driven insights. This is a performance‑driven, high‑autonomy role with a clear impact on IPO readiness and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Finance & Regulatory Data team across Europe (analytics/data engineers and data scientist).
• Own strategy, architecture and roadmap for finance and regulatory data platform.
• Prioritize and deliver data projects supporting Corporate Finance, FP&A, Financial Systems, FinTech and RevOps.
• Improve data quality, governance, lineage and auditability for finance and regulatory data.
• Partner with finance and business leaders to translate needs into data solutions and narratives.
• Reduce manual, spreadsheet-driven processes through automation, advanced analytics and ML-powered insights.

Key requirements

• Hands‑on leader with deep experience in large‑scale data infrastructure (Databricks preferred; Snowflake or similar lakehouse platforms acceptable).
• Proven experience in finance‑heavy, regulated or complex environments (SaaS with strong finance focus is a plus).
• Strong governance instincts around control, auditability, lineage and ‘trust in numbers’.
• Track record of leading senior teams through ambiguity and change.
• Ability to partner with CFO/Finance leadership and senior tech stakeholders as a peer.
