Overview

In this role you will be the primary contact for wafer fab process issues and ensure smooth production through timely issue resolution and handovers. You’ll support 24×7 operations in a Caswell, UK fab, focusing on rapid material release and tool re-qualification coordination. You will triage scrap and near-miss events and contribute to process deviations when needed. You’ll create measurement macros for new products and work with cross-functional teams to hit targets in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity in a collaborative, growth-focused company.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for wafer fab process issues and provide shift-end handovers
  • Review and resolve process-related issues to maintain smooth fab operation
  • Facilitate swift material release and enforce holds when necessary
  • Oversee tool re-qualification after maintenance and coordinate accordingly
  • Support scrap and near-miss triage and escalate as needed
  • Develop and enact process deviations for out-of-spec events and advise manufacturing teams
  • Create measurement macros for new products as lots arrive at measurement tools

Key requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision out of hours while completing tasks
  • Proficient PC user (Microsoft Office)
  • Wafer fab cleanroom experience advantageous
  • Familiarity with 6sigma or similar methodologies advantageous
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills
  • Experience with computer-controlled semiconductor processing equipment advantageous
  • Knowledge of MES such as PROMIS advantageous (training provided)
