Overview
As Project Manager in Critical Environments, you oversee engineering-led refurbishments and equipment installations from design through to invoicing. You collaborate with staff to prepare briefs, run tenders, manage budgets and records, and ensure RAMS and CDM compliance. You lead consultants and contractors, monitor health and safety, and drive projects to successful completion for client audits. This role offers hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and meaningful impact on facilities delivered at scale.

Responsibilities
- Provide engineering-led planning, design, and project management for minor refurbishments and installations
- Prepare specifications briefs in consultation with staff
- Tender works in line with Procurement Policy and manage quotation submissions
- Prepare budget costs and maintain ongoing budgetary control
- Appoint and manage consultants and specialist contractors
- Oversee project progression from design to commissioning, handover, and invoicing
- Ensure RAMS and CDM compliance for both subcontracted and in-house work
- Maintain accurate record-keeping for client audits and invoicing
- Manage health and safety matters in accordance with current legislation
Key requirements
- Proven project management experience
- Track record of delivering multi-task building services projects
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
- CDM experience enabling effective project execution
- NVQ Level 4 in Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of electrical works management
- Experience supervising electrical works
- Commercial awareness in budget preparation and negotiation
- Strong people management, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
