Contentious Private Client Solicitor

Overview

In this role you will join a leading Brighton-based private client team to handle high-quality contentious trust and probate work, inheritance disputes, and Court of Protection matters. You will work with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, family estates, and professional trustees, in a collaborative, supportive environment. The role offers variety across complex cases and a chance to advance your contentious private client career within a respected regional firm. Responsibilities

• Manage contentious trust and probate matters, including inheritance disputes and Court of Protection issues
• Handle a varied caseload with different levels of complexity
• Advise and represent a diverse client base (high-net-worth individuals, family estates, professional trustees)
• Collaborate with a senior team to deliver technically excellent results
• Contribute to the firm’s regional reputation and client service standards

Key requirements

• 2-5 years’ PQE in contentious private client work
• Strong technical knowledge in trusts, probate, and Court of Protection matters
• Experience advising high-net-worth clients and complex estates
• Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with the team
