Overview

As Product & Proposition Manager for Credit Cards, you will own and evolve product features and the strategy across the customer lifecycle. You’ll shape short and long-term plans, ensure compliance and clear customer outcomes, and partner with Change and Risk teams to maintain oversight and controls. You will influence senior stakeholders, drive cross-functional delivery, and translate market insights into robust product launches. This role offers meaningful impact on product design, risk management, and customer value at Barclays.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own product propositions and customer journeys aligned to strategy
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert guiding stakeholders on product applications
  • Define priorities and lead execution to deliver strategic outcomes
  • Model commercial and business aspects, understanding P&L impact
  • Assess feasibility, legal compliance, and risk in product development
  • Monitor market trends, gather feedback, run prototypes and beta programs
  • Plan launches with timelines, marketing, training, and communications
  • Track adoption, usage, satisfaction, and revenue to measure success
  • Direct collaboration with Change and Risk teams to ensure control and oversight
  • Present evidence on product performance and compliance to senior stakeholders

Key requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of credit card products and markets
  • Experience in product management within financial services and lending
  • Cross-functional collaboration across the customer life cycle in risk-based environments
  • Ability to lead teams to achieve customer and commercial goals
