Operations Manager, UKIE AMZL, AMZL

Overview

In this role you drive operational excellence at an Amazon Logistics site, leading a team of Area Managers to meet safety, quality and productivity targets. You will coordinate with HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and security while designing initiatives to boost site performance. You’ll mentor shifts, analyze performance data, and push continuous improvements to support Amazon’s delivery ambitions. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on people development and cross-functional impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of Area Managers
• Lead shift operations and resolve issues to improve site performance
• Analyse shift performance against business objectives and implement improvement actions
• Collaborate with support teams (HR, Finance, Health and Safety, Security)
• Design and deliver initiatives to improve operational performance
• Serve as a link between multiple teams and contribute to new operational approaches

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
• Experience in manufacturing, production, distribution logistics, retail, or grocery in a management role
• Experience working within a complex stakeholder structure
• Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and upper intermediate proficiency in the local language
