Senior Data Product Manager

Overview

In this role you own Liberis’ data and insights product, shaping how commercial, credit, finance and operations teams understand the business. You will define the data model, relationships, and surface insights via dashboards and self-serve tools, guiding a ~10-person team of analysts and engineers. You’ll partner with engineering on data modelling in BigQuery and dbt and present trusted metrics to senior stakeholders. This is a pivotal part of Liberis’ move to a multi-product, AI-enabled data agenda and a chance to influence how the business scales insight across partnerships and product lines.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for internal data and insight products and prioritise work with stakeholders across commercial, credit, finance and operations
• Define what ‘good’ looks like and translate it into deliverables for dashboards, insight tools and self-serve capabilities
• Review data models and dashboards to ensure accuracy, definitions are clear, and insights are trusted
• Collaborate with engineering on data modelling and structuring in BigQuery and dbt, and with analysts on presentation in Looker
• Lead a mixed team of analysts and data engineers to ship genuinely useful insights
• Expand partner-facing reporting to give visibility into portfolios
• Drive Liberis’ journey to become an AI-enabled company by advancing data, insights and analytics capabilities

Key requirements

• Proven senior data product or analytics product experience in a complex business
• Track record of enabling commercial decisions through data beyond dashboards
• Strong ability to model entities, taxonomies and evolving relationships and their impact on insights
• Hands-on experience with Looker and LookML, knowledge of scalable best practices
• Working knowledge of SQL, dbt and BigQuery, able to engage technically and communicate effectively
• Experience managing a mixed team of analysts and data engineers
