Overview

As a Mining and Metals valuation specialist in Deloitte’s Natural Resources and Industrials team, you will help grow a dedicated valuation practice and deliver expert assessments of mineral assets and projects. You’ll work with partners and senior staff to manage engagements, perform rigorous financial and technical analyses, and contribute to business development. The role combines technical reviews, model development, and client-facing discussions to shape value outcomes for mining clients. Responsibilities

• Develop and help grow the natural resources and mining & metals valuation practice
• Manage and deliver multiple valuation engagements to time and budget for mining clients
• Perform financial, technical, and market analyses and construct valuation models
• Assist in technical reviews of mining projects and due diligence processes
• Create quantitative models to assess value and financial performance
• Articulate valuation conclusions clearly with reasoned justification
• Engage with client senior management and manage client relationships
• Coach and develop staff on technical and personal development
• Pursue self-learning, on-the-job training and knowledge sharing within the team
• Contribute to broader group initiatives and internal networks

Key requirements

• Proven experience at Assistant Manager level in mining/mineral exploration, mining advisory, or mining-focused financial advisory
• Exceptional analytical, written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of basic financial and accounting concepts and ability to value mineral assets and mining businesses
• Understanding of mining operations from mineral resource statements to mine plans and processing flowsheets
• Enthusiasm for mining valuations; ability to present complex analyses concisely
• Proactive learning mindset, initiative, and ability to deliver delegated tasks accurately
• Client focus with strong relationship-building and ability to work quickly
• Logical, methodical problem-solving approach; good project management and organizational skills
