Chartered Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role you lead civil infrastructure design initiatives within a growing Belfast office, delivering complex projects across roads, drainage and earthworks while guiding a team of engineers. You’ll act as a primary technical advisor to clients and stakeholders, shape sustainable design solutions, and contribute to business growth. Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects (roads, drainage, earthworks)
• Manage projects through feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction stages
• Produce and review technical reports, drawings, specifications and calculations
• Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions aligned with client needs and standards
• Act as main point of contact for clients, contractors and external stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers in the Belfast team
• Support business development, including client engagement and fee proposals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across residential, commercial, transport, and infrastructure sectors

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Chartered Engineer status with ICE or equivalent
• Significant consultancy experience delivering civil engineering design projects
• Strong technical experience in roads, drainage, infrastructure design and civil works
• Experience managing projects, coordinating technical delivery and client liaison
• Ability to mentor and develop less experienced engineers
• Proactive approach and contribution to Belfast office growth
