Overview

In this role you will lead technical advisory and design activities across renewable energy projects, supporting IE, OE, and TA services for a diverse portfolio including solar, wind, and energy storage. You’ll work within a collaborative team to deliver projects from concept through construction and financing, while developing client relationships and shaping service offerings. The position combines technical leadership with client-facing responsibilities in a growing UK team. You’ll help drive delivery, risk management, and quality across multi-project portfolios, contributing to the firm’s renewable energy growth and client success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver FEED, IE, OE, and TA assignments across the full project lifecycle
  • Manage project delivery for project finance, tax equity, sales, and acquisition mandates
  • Review contracts, schedules, and financial models (CAPEX/OPEX)
  • Conduct site visits, construction monitoring, and witness testing
  • Manage risks, schedules, deliverables, and project documentation
  • Produce high-quality technical advisory reports with risks and recommendations
  • Support contract administration, variations, and claims
  • Lead client and stakeholder meetings with developers, lenders, EPCs, investors and internal teams
  • Lead Pre-FEED and FEED design teams for wind, solar and BESS projects
  • Lead Owners Engineering service delivery
  • Use existing network to provide Business Development support for Stantec

Key requirements

  • Sufficient experience in renewable energy (IE/OE/TA, development, construction, O&M, or M&A)
  • Experience supporting projects through financial close with lenders or investors
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, contracts, and risk management
  • Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction management, or related field
