Overview

Senior Manager in AQRM enables risk and quality oversight across Advisory and related teams. You will partner with senior AQRM members to embed risk judgement, support contract reviews, and develop training and guidance to raise risk awareness. You’ll drive improvements in controls, identify emerging risks, and promote digital-first risk solution thinking. Responsibilities

  • Provide risk management and quality support to nominated Advisory teams and other advisory/tax teams as needed
  • Review engagement contracts and related documents to support negotiation with clients
  • Educate and coach client-facing teams to enhance risk awareness and risk management
  • Develop and maintain training materials and present at training sessions
  • Ensure required controls are understood and implemented by client-facing teams
  • Identify and manage emerging risks
  • Contribute ideas to ensure AQRM and client-facing teams function effectively with a digital-first mindset
  • Collaborate with Legal and Ethics to improve policies and processes
  • Develop guidance materials and resources including templates
  • Support service line file review and monitoring procedures

Key requirements

  • Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA) or legal/risk management background
  • Experience in advisory or tax business in a professional services firm OR experience advising on contracts in a legal/risk context
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in transactions or providing consulting services
  • Experience drafting or reviewing contractual terms
  • Positive, proactive attitude with commitment to high-quality output
  • Commercial awareness and ability to balance risk with reward
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to see the bigger picture and innovate
  • Awareness of ethical principles in professional services, especially audits
