Overview

As External Resourcing Manager at ICHI, you will act as the bridge between the studio and top-tier freelance talent, building a proactive talent bench and ensuring hires fit our culture and client needs. You will shape cross-functional partnerships with senior leaders and streamline external resourcing processes. The role emphasizes strategic matchmaking, compliance, and ongoing optimization of talent workflows across UK and North America. Responsibilities

  • Proactively scout and curate top-tier creative and production freelancers and build a forward-looking talent pipeline
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of external talent including skills, software, setups, day rates, and availability
  • Strategically match talent to project DNA in collaboration with Producers and Creatives
  • Lead fee/rate negotiations and contracting to ensure commercial viability and compliance
  • Qualify external partners and suppliers, assessing value versus risks
  • Collaborate to evolve onboarding tools, freelance workflows, and talent management systems
  • Bridge workflows between UK and North America teams to optimize resource sharing before external hiring
  • Support internal scheduling during peak periods to ensure seamless coverage of the creative department

Key requirements

  • Deep industry knowledge of creative roles and tools
  • Solid grasp of IR35 and employment legislation for freelance engagements
  • Proactive mindset with ability to anticipate bottlenecks
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong business intuition and ability to align partners with company goals
  • Experience in talent management, traffic/resource management, or high-volume creative recruitment in a medium-large agency
  • Confidence in drafting and executing contracts with production teams
  • Ability to manage complex data (availability, rates, skills) with precision
