In this role you join a leading Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team to handle high-value, complex banking and related disputes for UK and international clients. You will run a varied contentious caseload, supervise junior staff, and provide strategic, commercial advice while contributing to business development. Responsibilities
- Manage a varied contentious caseload for key FS clients
- Supervise Associates, Trainees, and/or Paralegals
- Provide strategic and commercial legal advice on disputes and claims
- Engage in business development activities and nurture client relationships
- Assist with production of legal updates and know-how development
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) at Senior Associate or Managing Associate level
- Experience running own caseload of financial litigation or property litigation and understanding CPR/litigation process
- Desirable: experience in secured lending litigation, mortgage repossession, or complex title rectification; broader banking/property litigation experience
- Experience supervising or line managing junior staff is desirable
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills; self-motivated with ability to manage workloads and deadlines
- Commercially aware with exposure to business development and client relationship management
- Ability to understand client business needs and contribute to firm goals; willingness to develop junior team members
