Overview

In this role you support risk management and project controls on high-profile construction infrastructure projects. You will work closely with the Glasgow team to identify threats and opportunities, monitor risk exposure, and prepare risk reports for senior management. The position offers exposure to quantitative risk techniques and a range of risk-analytics tools, contributing to the delivery of major energy, renewables, defence, rail, and utilities projects. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues
  • Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points for risk cost profiling and budget management
  • Assist with development of management responses and assess post-mitigation positions
  • Monitor overall risk exposure against remaining budget and timeline
  • Produce and present risk reports to communicate status and required actions
  • Understand quantitative risk assessment to inform contingency and time risk allowance levels
  • Develop familiarity with tools such as Safran, @risk, PRA or equivalent
  • Familiarity with web-based reporting tools – ARM, Xactium, Predict, Tableau, PowerBI

Key requirements

  • Industry experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, automotive or management consultancy
  • Understanding of integrated risk management solutions across portfolios, programmes and projects
  • Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment experience (QRSA and QCSA) including probabilistic modelling
  • Risk and scenario analysis workshop facilitation
  • Development of proactive threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation
