Overview

In this role you lead and grow a team of customer engineers to accelerate cloud transformation for customers. You partner with Sales to shape technical go-to-market plans and drive workload migrations and consumption growth. You balance technical leadership with operational excellence while removing blockers through cross-functional collaboration with customers, partners, and internal teams. You’ll guide staffing, culture, and talent development to deliver impactful migration outcomes and trusted technical advice across the Google Cloud portfolio. You will work to turn strategic opportunities into technical wins and value realization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of customer engineers, shaping culture, talent strategy, and skills growth
  • Foster customer partnerships and provide thought leadership on cloud and cross-pillar solutions
  • Collaborate with Sales to define go-to-market strategies and delivery plans to win new workloads and drive existing consumption
  • Plan staffing, coverage, and alignment through planning stages
  • Steer workload and opportunity reviews and craft migration and technical agreement strategies with customers, partners, and prospects
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Google, partners, and the CE team to remove technical roadblocks
  • Lead and deploy subject-matter experts to accelerate workload migrations and remove blockers
  • Promote technical ownership and ensure understanding of architecture, delivery, and consumption across Google Cloud

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
  • Leadership experience (people management, team lead, mentorship, coaching)
  • Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms
