Overview

In this role you will contribute to Quest Global’s engineering management capability by leading and delivering advanced systems engineering in industrial automation contexts. You will work within a cross-functional team to ensure compliant, robust automation solutions for Fortune 500 customers, owning deliverables from design through documentation. You’ll apply modelling, control, and integration skills to shape reliable systems and influence project outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver systems engineering activities for industrial automation projects
  • Ensure compliance with machine directive, UKCA/CE marking, and EMC standards
  • Design and review electrical/electronic systems, schematics, and BOMs
  • Configure and tune control systems and PID parameters
  • Develop data acquisition designs and integrate sensors/actuators
  • Perform MATLAB/Simulink modelling and simulation
  • Generate technical reports and maintain documentation
  • Work autonomously with ownership of deliverables

Key requirements

  • Systems engineering experience in industrial, automation, aerospace, or test environments
  • Industrial automation systems and regulatory compliance
  • PLC programming (preferably Bosch Rexroth platforms)
  • MATLAB/Simulink modelling and simulation
  • Control systems engineering and PID tuning
  • Data acquisition system design and integration
  • Electrical/electronic system design and review
  • Interpretation of schematics and BOMs
  • Sensor and actuator selection
  • UKCA/CE marking and EMC compliance support
  • Technical report generation and documentation
  • Ability to work independently and own deliverables
