Overview

In this role you will lead mechanical engineering on NPI projects focused on advanced thermal management for semiconductor systems. You’ll own mechanical architecture decisions to meet performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost targets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to industrialize new products. You will drive thermal solutions, modelling, and design activities from concept to production launch, shaping products that perform in demanding environments. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge thermal design with a strong cross-functional impact and annual customer-site engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design activities on NPI projects from concept to production launch
  • Own architecture decisions to ensure performance, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and cost targets
  • Develop innovative thermal management solutions for semiconductor environments
  • Lead 3D modelling and detailed component & assembly design
  • Apply thermal engineering to optimize performance and reliability
  • Contribute to thermal modelling, heat transfer analysis, and system optimization
  • Collaborate with internal and external manufacturing teams for successful industrialization
  • Partner with electrical, controls, systems, and test engineers on integrated solutions

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience leading mechanical design on NPI or product development projects
  • Experience delivering concepts through production release
  • Experience in regulated or technically demanding industries (semiconductor, vacuum tech, process equipment, aerospace)
  • Strong GD&T and tolerancing knowledge
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD systems
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations and commissioning
