Trade Compliance Systems Manager

Overview

In this role, you help deliver Burberry’s Customs Strategy across the Group and ensure day-to-day compliance with Asian customs and duty requirements. You will translate complex trade rules into clear system and reporting solutions and work with business, data, and tech teams to achieve practical outcomes. You’ll lead process improvements, facilitate workshops, and support testing, training, and post-implementation adoption. Responsibilities

• Translate customs and trade compliance requirements into actionable system and reporting solutions
• Partner with business stakeholders, data teams and technology specialists to design and deliver outcomes
• Lead process analysis and improvement activities to boost efficiency
• Facilitate workshops, gather requirements and create documentation for project delivery
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and support prioritisation and defect resolution
• Deliver training, knowledge transfer and post-implementation support for successful adoption

Key requirements

• Experience delivering technology solutions within customs, trade compliance or related regulatory environments
• Knowledge of SAP platforms, including AFS or S/4HANA
• Familiarity with global trade compliance solutions such as MIC or similar systems
• Proven experience supporting design, build and implementation of technology transformation programmes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex requirements into practical solutions
• Effective communicator with ability to build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborative and adaptable, able to manage competing priorities with attention to detail and quality
