Overview
In this role you will strengthen and develop our global supplier base, driving improvements in quality, capability, warranty and delivery. You will work with production component and critical indirect suppliers to sustain performance that meets business expectations and promote a Right First Time approach to NPIP. You’ll contribute to the Group Quality Vision and lead escalation resolution while collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks. Responsibilities
- Support delivery of the Group Quality Vision focusing on incoming material quality targets and overall supplier performance
- Drive improvements in supplier Quality & Warranty through quality clinics
- Lead closure on all escalated supplier Quality and Warranty concerns
- Collaborate with critical suppliers to validate capability and implement action plans
- Manage and resolve escalated supplier delivery and capacity issues with sustainable outcomes
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to protect business continuity
- Conduct onboarding, quality and category process audits to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
- Lead Launch Readiness activities with appropriate programmes and reporting
- Support machine-specific improvement programmes aligned to Quality objectives and product PCM closures
Key requirements
- Significant experience in supplier development, manufacturing, engineering or quality within a global organisation
- Strong knowledge of Total Quality Management, QMS and auditing processes
- Experience with APQP, PPAP and New Product Introduction processes
- Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficient in structured problem solving techniques such as 8D
- Experience assessing supplier capacity and capability in a production environment
- Hold a degree (or equivalent) in engineering, manufacturing or a related discipline
- Strong communicator with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
