Overview
In this role you will author and maintain control and visualization software for Clevedon PC products, driving software development improvements. You will work with the controls engineering team to plan, document, and release software that sustains product quality. You’ll contribute to risk assessments, testing methodologies, and technical manuals, while supporting colleagues with knowledge sharing. This hybrid Bristol role emphasizes delivering robust control software within a collaborative, process-improving environment. You will shape maintenance-driven engineering efforts that underpin safe, compliant, and reliable systems.

Responsibilities
- Prepare software specifications and contribute to project plans
- Follow safe test procedures and perform risk assessments
- Create test documents and advise on methodologies
- Plan short-term actions, track progress, and prioritize work
- Develop and improve controls engineering processes
- Investigate quality issues and support software release documentation
- Produce and review technical content for manuals, build notes, and service instructions
- Share knowledge with colleagues and support cross-functional teams
Key requirements
- HMI programming experience using VB.net or similar high-level languages
- Experience compiling software and managing software configuration controls
- Proficiency with Modbus and EdCentra XML communications
- Ability to create technical documentation
- Familiarity with software release processes and archiving
- Knowledge of safety and design review methods (HAZOP, FMEA)
- Experience with industry standards (SEMI S2, S8)
