Cost Manager (NRM1)

Overview

As Cost Manager you will support a UK-wide health programme delivering hospital upgrades and new builds. You’ll work within the programme delivery team to maintain cost baselines, provide estimating and cost assurance, and liaise with scheme leads, Trusts and advisers. You will help drive cost predictability, manage risks and support governance through robust reporting. The role offers impact on essential healthcare infrastructure and cross-functional collaboration with client and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consistent, accurate cost estimates and elemental cost plans using NRM1/2
• support cost assurance and governance to maintain baseline control
• produce detailed cost analysis and reporting for commercial decision making
• contribute to risk management, including threats and opportunities, and change control
• engage with Trusts, Cost Consultants, and Contractors to ensure robust cost management and reporting
• develop and adopt client tools and products to enable improved future performance
• build strong relationships with scheme leads and advisors to ensure compliance with client processes

Key requirements

• Experience using NRM1/2 across projects of different scale
• relevant technical qualification with track record in major projects
• strong client-focused approach with stakeholder management skills
• working towards or holding a professional qualification
• experience in construction consultancy, healthcare/life science projects, or digital software for project management (advantageous)
