In this role, you will handle a varied portfolio of commercial property work within a well-regarded South West law firm. You will work as part of a collaborative property team in Torquay, supporting landlords, tenants, and developers to deliver high-quality service. You’ll manage own files, navigate complex transactions, and contribute to marketing and business development. Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters
• Act for landlords and tenants
• Handle joint venture, retail and leisure projects
• Advise on acquisitions of development sites for commercial/mixed-use
• Draft and review commercial contracts
• Oversee portfolio sales and acquisitions
• Work on business transfer work (restaurants, guest houses)
• Coordinate project management and cross-team collaboration
• Participate in marketing and business development
• Ensure Lexcel compliance and manage files independently

Key requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ PQE in commercial property
• Strong technical and drafting skills
• Commercial market awareness and general commercial law experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Confidence in managing matters independently
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Motivation, organization, and proactive mindset
• Enthusiasm for networking and external events
• Ambition for progression with leadership/partnership prospects
