Overview

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias), you help keep the resort’s electro-mechanical systems safe and reliable in a safety-critical environment. You work with a skilled engineering team across rides and attractions, diagnosing faults and performing proactive maintenance to maximise ride availability. You will be involved in major overhauls, refurbishments and upgrade projects, gaining hands-on experience with specialist systems. This role offers growth through hands-on problem-solving in a unique, high-demand setting.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out safety-critical inspections and planned preventive maintenance across rides, vehicles and attraction systems
  • Diagnose faults, perform reactive maintenance, repair, and accurately log activities in maintenance systems
  • Carry out planned maintenance including strip-downs and rebuilds of attraction vehicles and mechanical components
  • Motor testing, electrical rewiring, and electrical inspections of control systems and ride components
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnostics across complex attraction systems
  • Follow safety practices and quality standards including COSHH
  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance activities
  • Maintain maintenance records, reports and logs for compliance
  • Maintain 5S/LEAN workshop standards and assist in auditing spares procurement

Key requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, FMCG, automotive, rail, aerospace, marine, facilities or similar heavy engineering environments
  • Post-apprenticeship/ post-qualification engineering experience
  • Experience in maintenance environments and knowledge of statutory requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong problem-solving, diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience with technical manuals, risk assessments and engineering documentation
  • Experience with PLCs, control systems, motors, sensors, pneumatics or mechanical systems advantageous
  • Previous theme park experience not essential
