Job Description:
Overview
In this role you will lead and deliver electrical commissioning for a commercial build in Central London, partnering with project teams to integrate LV distribution, life safety, lighting and controls. You will own the commissioning plan, oversee testing and certification, and ensure clean handover in line with standards. You’ll interact with clients and stakeholders to provide progress updates and align on technical issues. This is a chance to contribute to major MEP projects within a respected subcontractor on high-profile schemes.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead and manage electrical commissioning activities to align with project milestones
- Coordinate with project engineers, site managers, QA/QC teams and specialist subcontractors
- Oversee testing, witnessing and certification; ensure documentation for sign-off and handover
- Represent commissioning in client meetings, site walkdowns and technical workshops
- Ensure compliance with project specs, British Standards and health & safety regulations; deliver complete handover package
Key requirements
- Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades background
- 10+ years’ experience in a similar role on large-scale construction projects
- UK Passport or Right to Work in the UK
