Overview

In this role you drive strategic banking client growth by combining Moody’s data, analytics, and risk solutions. You’ll manage full sales cycles, deepen executive relationships, and expand Moody’s footprint across Europe and Africa. You’ll translate banking priorities into value propositions, navigate complex buying processes, and collaborate across teams to deliver measurable business impact. This position offers hybrid work with up to 50% travel and the chance to influence risk decisions at senior levels.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle for a portfolio of banking clients and drive new business growth across Europe and Africa
  • Develop deep understanding of client priorities and align Moody’s solutions to their needs
  • Retain and renew banking relationships by delivering measurable value and managing risks
  • Identify and negotiate opportunities that create mutual value through enterprise banking solutions
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior leaders across risk, finance, treasury and lending
  • Execute account strategies to expand Moody’s footprint within existing clients and across lines of business
  • Prospect and win new banking customers, converting white-space into long-term relationships
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to address opportunities and resolve issues
  • Leverage sector insights to identify risks and opportunities and translate them into actions
  • Collaborate to deliver a seamless client experience and ensure successful execution of strategies
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to meet revenue goals
  • Represent Moody’s at industry events and client engagements to strengthen market presence
  • Travel up to 50% for client engagement while maintaining hybrid work arrangements

Key requirements

  • Sales experience in software, data, analytics or financial services with a proven track record selling to banks and financial institutions
  • Strong understanding of banking sector including risk management, lending, treasury, capital markets, regulatory compliance and credit analysis workflows
  • Knowledge of how banks use credit research, quantitative models, data, analytics and risk solutions for strategic decision-making
  • Consultative, needs-based, solutions-oriented sales approach in complex enterprise cycles
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Excellent client relationship management and ability to build long-term partnerships in remote settings
  • Strong commercial acumen to identify growth opportunities and navigate complex procurement
  • Creative problem-solving, organizational and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts with willingness to learn responsible AI practices and risk management
