STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Overview

In this role you will lead structural engineering projects within a forward-thinking consultancy, guiding junior engineers and delivering hands-on design and calculations. You will work both independently and with a supportive team to meet client needs on residential and refurbishment projects. You’ll attend site and client visits, liaising at all levels to ensure clear communication and robust delivery. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural engineering projects from conception to delivery
• Provide detailed structural calculations across building materials
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and deliverable output
• Attend site visits and client meetings to communicate progress and decisions
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely, compliant project delivery
• Support business development and client liaison as needed

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 4 years’ UK-based consultancy experience
• Approaching Chartership or Chartered (ICE or IStructE)
• Strong technical design skills across a range of building materials
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Comfortable managing junior staff and leading project delivery
