Overview

In this Director role, you will lead and grow the UK P&SC Community of Practice, shaping advisory offerings and delivering high-impact procurement, supply chain and commercial solutions. You’ll partner with senior leaders to expand capacity, drive thought leadership, and embed digital enablement across advisory work. You’ll manage a growing team and foster collaboration across Arcadis globally to create tangible client benefits. This is a mission-critical role for advancing P&SC excellence and value creation for clients and the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a UK P&SC CoP vision aligned with Global Advisory strategy
  • Lead and grow the advisory team from ~20 to 40+ professionals over three years
  • Champion CoP purpose, objectives and value across the organisation
  • Coordinate UK and global meetings, workshops and knowledge-sharing events
  • Win and lead high-profile client pursuits and commissions across sectors
  • Maintain and grow relationships with clients up to CPO/Board level
  • Embed digital enablement and people-centricity in advisory work
  • Curate and maintain best-practice P&SC resources and market insights
  • Lead sharing of lessons learned and innovations across Arcadis (UK and global)
  • Facilitate training, mentoring and development initiatives for P&SC professionals
  • Promote external engagement with industry bodies, academia and networks
  • Translate skills into innovative client-facing solutions addressing business challenges
  • Drive development and adoption of new methods and digital tools within the CoP

Key requirements

  • Advisory services experience or client-side leadership/consultancy background
  • Proven expertise in Procurement, Supply Chain and Commercial disciplines in infrastructure and built environment
  • Experience managing relationships up to Board level
  • Desirable experience with procurement in a regulated context (PCR, UCR)
  • Outstanding leadership, facilitation and communication skills
  • Recognised thought leader in P&SC best practice
  • Senior client network at CPO level or equivalent
  • Commercial and business management skills with appetite for sales and BD
  • Knowledge of digital solutions and technology enablement in P&SC
  • Ability to motivate diverse groups and drive initiatives from concept to delivery
  • Collaborative, proactive, organised and continuous improvement mindset
  • Likely membership of CIPS, RICS or similar professional bodies
