Overview

In this role you will lead environmental and social assessments for major infrastructure projects delivered by a global consultancy. You’ll guide cross-disciplinary teams, engage clients, and help grow the business while delivering ESIA/EIA and related environmental studies. The position offers international exposure and the chance to contribute to sustainable infrastructure across the UK, Middle East, and Africa. You will shape project outcomes through technical leadership and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental and social assessment workstreams on major infrastructure projects
  • Deliver ESIA, EIA, ESMS and related environmental studies
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and specialist consultants
  • Support client engagement, proposal development and business growth activities
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team development
  • Travel internationally as required to support project delivery

Key requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in ESIA/EIA consulting
  • Strong report writing and project delivery skills
  • Experience within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of international environmental and social safeguard standards (IFC, World Bank, EBRD, AfDB or similar)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A degree (and ideally postgraduate qualification) in an environmental, ecological or related discipline
