Overview

As a Project Manager in Contract Logistics, you will drive the delivery of Information Systems projects that align with KN standards, budgets, timelines and quality goals. You’ll build and lead cross‑functional teams, manage scope and risks, and ensure audit-ready records. The role sits at the intersection of technology and logistics, shaping how customers’ goods move through warehouses and distribution networks. You’ll work with diverse stakeholders to establish best-in-class project delivery and deliver measurable change across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead successful delivery of Information Systems projects with adherence to policies, standards, budgets, timelines and quality expectations
  • Develop and maintain project documents (PIDs, delivery plans, stage gate collateral, status reports)
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams with clear roles and stakeholder engagement
  • Establish and manage project plans with milestone tracking and corrective actions
  • Manage project budgets, resources and financial tracking for cost control
  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues through governance and proactive communication
  • Govern project scope and change requests, enforce formal change control processes
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering updates and stage gate reviews with audit-ready records

Key requirements

  • Proven track record delivering IT Warehouse Management System (WMS) projects
  • Understanding of project delivery methodologies; PRINCE2, APM and ITIL experience considered advantageous
  • Ability to align projects with wider business strategy; manage dependencies and priorities
  • Experience in resource planning across multiple projects
  • Strong commercial awareness; translate business requirements into practical solutions including cost estimation
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, influencing and relationship-building
  • Demonstrated leadership; develop teams and drive project outcomes
  • Strong governance skills to manage risks, critical paths, and interdependencies; travel flexibility in the UK
