Responsibilities
- Prepare year‑end accounts, VAT, PAYE and tax returns
- Liaise with clients to gather information and offer proactive advice
- Review and finalise accounts and tax documents for HMRC submission
- Advise on tax liabilities, deadlines and payment planning
- Maintain chargeable time records and meet targets
- Manage bookkeeping, ledgers and management accounts as required
- Assist clients with accounting software and bookkeeping queries
- Support tax planning and complex tax matters
Key requirements
- Senior Practice accountant or similar role background
- At least 10 years of experience in practice
- Strong tax knowledge and account preparation expertise
- Proficiency in accounting systems, ideally Sage or similar
- Experience managing accounts and maintaining client relationships
- Ability to handle budgets and produce management/financial reports
- Strong client relationship management
