As a Quantity Surveyor at Galliford Try in Guildford, you will steer financial control across multiple sites and projects within a leading regional contractor. You’ll apply your expertise in design and build contracts to value works, manage cash flow, and prepare accurate cost reporting. Responsibilities
- Analyze tender allowances
- Measure and value works on site and from drawings for valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Agree valuation dates and submit interim valuations
- Administer main contract and subcontract conditions
- Subcontract and design procurement
- Manage subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts
- Submit Cost Value Reconciliations
- Prepare cost to complete
- Cash management and cash flow forecasting
- Provide standard reports
- Internal valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports aligned to accounting deadlines
Key requirements
- Experience in the construction industry for a main contractor
- Knowledge of Design and Build
- Sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Degree qualified
- Member of RICS or IOB (or progressing towards)
