In this role you lead the technical delivery of complex structural projects within the energy sector, focusing on hydropower and dam infrastructure. You work with clients and cross-functional teams to provide innovative, compliant, and high-quality solutions. You will contribute to strengthening our structural engineering capability and support growth across sectors, while guiding teams and mentoring engineers. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of major structural projects across the full lifecycle
  • Prepare and review calculations, reports and design packages for regulatory submission
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to engineers and technicians
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with design standards, legislation and QA processes
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in structural engineering practices

Key requirements

  • BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or actively pursuing ICE or IStructE accreditation
  • Strong experience in structural design across infrastructure, with hydropower/dam exposure preferred
  • Proficiency in structural analysis, numerical modelling and hand calculations
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and providing technical oversight
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
