Overview
In this Manager role, you will guide IT aspects of M&A across UKI, delivering pre-deal diligence, value creation, carve-outs and integrations. You will work with cross-functional EY Parthenon teams to shape IT strategy for transactions and manage client-facing work with senior stakeholders. The position focuses on IT readiness, ecosystem components, and post-deal execution to unlock value for corporates and private equity. You’ll operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that spans Belfast and Manchester, with opportunities to influence large-scale deals. This role offers a meaningful chance to shape IT-led transformations in a global, diverse firm.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to IT pre-deal, value creation, post-deal, separation and integration engagements for UKI clients
- Manage cross-functional project teams across EY Parthenon’s transactions and advisory practices
- Support business origination through pitches and client-ready deliverables with colleagues across EY Parthenon
- Advise on IT readiness and architecture across transaction phases (infrastructure, data, applications)
- Support transaction execution planning to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Develop technical and personal skills through structured learning and coaching
Key requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related subjects
- Experience in IT due diligence and/or IT post-merger integration, separation/carve-out assignments
- Knowledge of IT ecosystem components (ERP/HRIS, IT infrastructure, data, applications)
- Experience with IMO/SMO/TMO/VRO-style program delivery
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience leading diverse teams and managing junior staff
- Ability to build relationships with senior clients and influence key decision makers
- Willingness to travel and work onsite in Belfast or Manchester with London travel
