Senior Manager, Project Manager, Civil Engineering & Construction, Engineering & Tech (GB & Nordics)

Overview

In this role you will lead civil engineering and construction initiatives across GB and the Nordics, defining standards, supplier bases, and project delivery. You will develop business cases, manage projects from concept to handover, and set design specifications and technical strategies. You will deploy civil services providers and oversee cross-border collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This position offers Pan-European exposure to infrastructure projects and significant impact on delivery efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and align business cases for civils and buildings infrastructure projects
• Deliver projects from concept through to handover, including scope, cost, and risk management
• Define design specifications and technical standards for safe, hygienic, and sustainable infrastructure
• Identify and deploy civil engineering services providers and manage supplier relationships
• Lead tendering, contractor selection, and ensure in-scope delivery with cross-functional stakeholders
• Manage project programs, timelines, and budgets, integrating safety and sustainability considerations
• Coordinate with internal and external teams across a pan-European context
• Setup project structures for effective exchange with stakeholders and ensure handover to operations

Key requirements

• Extensive project management experience in Civils Construction and Infrastructure
• Experience leading virtual, pan-European project teams
• Strategic capability in BU-level or group-level planning
• Strong analytical skills to handle complex issues and method changes
• Excellent communication to influence stakeholders across teams
• Fluent English; knowledge of another European language is a plus
