Senior Maintenance Engineer-Planning

Overview

As a Through Life Engineer in the Central Planning Hub, you will deliver optimised maintenance work packages using MAXIMO and MMS data. You will drive quality through standardised processes and engineering governance, supported by data insights and defect trends. Your work will improve demand planning, forecasting, and tool development to meet evolving customer needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient maintenance planning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, optimised maintenance work packages in MAXIMO using MMS data and technical documentation
• Ensure packages comply with policy, classification rules, statutory requirements and governance through Gate Reviews and PDRLs
• Analyse resource demand, task duration, history, costs and defect trends to improve forecasting
• Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers, Platform Teams, Ship Delivery, Supply Chain and Material State to align work packages
• Utilise automation and digital planning tools to improve scheduling, sequencing, forecasting and risk identification
• Monitor released work packages, ensure safe completion and accurate MAXIMO/UMMS recording, and apply lessons to future planning
• Support maintenance optimisation via performance analysis, failure data assessment and RCA
• Identify data-quality issues, assist toolset testing and drive digital improvements for end-user experience
• Provide technical guidance and SME support, promote standardised planning practices and drive continuous improvement

Key requirements

• ONC, HNC, HND or Degree‑level education in Engineering
• Specialist knowledge in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
• Working knowledge of the Engineering Lifecycle
• Awareness of statutory regulations including IS, HSE, Security requirements
• Experience using Maintenance Management Systems with problem solving and RCA knowledge
