Overview
In this role you will identify suitable materials and processes to ensure quality and manufacturability, and use design tools to plan and improve mechanical components. You will develop solutions for engineering projects, communicate findings through reports and design reviews, and mentor new team members when needed. You will contribute to safety, environmental protection, and compliance as part of a cross-functional team. This position offers the chance to work on advanced naval systems and support mission-critical outcomes with potential security clearances.

Responsibilities
- Identify materials and processes to ensure quality, performance, and manufacturability
- Use design and modeling software to plan and improve mechanical parts and communicate specs
- Develop solutions for intermediate to semi-complex problems to deliver projects on-time, on-quality, and on-budget
- Write reports and present at peer and design reviews
- May provide training and support to new team members
- May include safety, environmental protection and compliance responsibilities
Key requirements
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a related field
- 3+ years of related experience
- Possibly required to maintain security clearance
