Civil Design Engineer – Water Sector AMP8

Overview

In this Civil Engineer role, you will support Arcadis Water projects across UK frameworks, contributing to optioning, feasibility and detailed design for wastewater, clean water and related infrastructure. You will work with clients, contractors and the project team to deliver high-quality design outputs and construction-ready documentation, while developing BIM-enabled skills and progressing toward chartered status. This is a hands-on role with impact on future water and environmental improvement schemes and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Optioneering, Feasibility, Outline and Detailed design across projects
• Prepare high-quality design drawings and construction-ready documentation
• Produce clear design calculations, reports and deliverables
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers and wider project team
• Follow Business Management processes and procedures
• Support safety, health, quality and sustainability objectives
• Broaden knowledge in commercial, programme and finance
• Develop skills toward chartership and career progression

Key requirements

• BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in a relevant discipline
• Progress toward Chartered or Incorporated status
• Experience in the water industry
• Motivated with strong influence and collaboration skills
• Knowledge/experience of BIM-led design and Civils 3D
• Good understanding of BS, UK Industry Codes of Practice and Water Specifications
