Overview
As Safety Case Expert, you will lead and shape the nuclear safety case capability within AECOM, guiding projects from concept through delivery. You will act as a client-facing lead, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across civil and defence portfolios to ensure right-first-time regulatory compliance and robust safety case delivery. You’ll mentor teams, drive knowledge sharing, and contribute to strategic growth of the nuclear practice. This role offers involvement in high-profile projects and a path to visible impact within a global engineering firm.

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic delivery of nuclear safety cases on projects across the portfolio
- Develop and execute resource strategies; mentor and develop SQEP capabilities
- Support bidding and winning work by providing nuclear safety expertise
- Advise leadership on regulatory compliance and safety standards
- Maintain client relationships to ensure high-quality, timely delivery
- Oversee full project lifecycle from design to commissioning
- Provide coaching and training to internal and external stakeholders
- Share knowledge and implement best practices across multidisciplinary teams
Key requirements
- Extensive experience developing nuclear safety cases in the nuclear sector
- Strong leadership with ability to influence engineers and guide work packages
- Proven track record of end-to-end project delivery
